How to Enable Location Permissions on Localsearch.com.au 

Enabling location permissions allows Localsearch to show you results that are relevant to your current location. This can be helpful for finding businesses near you, getting directions, and seeing local reviews. 

Here’s how to enable location preferences on Localsearch.com.au  

On your Desktop: 

1. Go to the Localsearch website: Localsearch.com.au  

2. Click on the location section of the search bar, if location is enabled, your current location will appear in the drop down.  

3. If not, a pop-up will appear asking you to allow Localsearch to access your location. 

4. Click “Allow” This will grant Localsearch permission to use your location. 

In Your Browser:  

Google Chrome 

1. Open Chrome. 

2. Click the three dots in the top right corner. 

3. Select Settings. 

4. Click Privacy and Security in the side menu. 

5. Select Site Settings. 

6. Scroll down and click Location. 

7. Ensure “Localsearch” is not listed in the “not allowed to see your location” section. 

8. Check “Sites can ask for your location” is selected.  

Safari

1. Open Safari. 

2. Click the Safari menu in the top-left corner. 

3. Select Preferences. 

4. Click Websites in the toolbar. 

5. Select Location in the left-hand sidebar. 

6. Choose your preferred setting for each website listed. You can allow or deny location access for each site individually. 

On your iPad or iPhone: 

1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Settings app. 

2. Tap Privacy then Location Services. 

3. Ensure Location Services is turned on. 

4. Scroll and select Localsearch. 

5. Choose While Using the App or Always. 

On Your Android Device:

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Settings app. 

2. Tap Location. 

3. At the top, switch location on. 

4. Tap Mode then High accuracy. 

Troubleshooting: 

• If you’re not seeing the location pop-up, it’s possible that your browser is blocking pop-ups. Try disabling pop-up blockers and refreshing the page. 
• If you’ve enabled location preferences but Localsearch is still not showing you relevant results, try clearing your browser cache and cookies.
